InteractivePlotMaps is a Google Sheets Add-on developed by Agsci LLC that enables agricultural researchers and field trial managers to transform raw plot data into insightful, interactive visualizations. Built with Google Apps Script, the tool adds a custom menu to your spreadsheet interface, allowing users to launch a dialog box (modal window) with just a few clicks.

Within this modal, users can explore an interactive heatmap that spatially represents data from variety trial plots, including critical agronomic variables such as yield, moisture, and lodging. The heatmap offers a color-coded, grid-style visualization that reflects the physical layout of the field trial, making it easier to identify spatial trends, inconsistencies, or anomalies that might be difficult to detect through traditional tables or charts.

Whether you’re evaluating the performance of crop varieties across multiple locations or analyzing patterns in field conditions, InteractivePlotMaps helps you make data-driven decisions with confidence. The add-on is lightweight, runs entirely within Google Sheets, and does not require external software or data integration.

InteractivePlotMaps request permission to read user data within Google Sheets, but does not require any read or write permission to Google Drive or other apps.  Absolutely no user data is shared outside Sheets by this application.
